There were many experiences in my past that influenced my present interest for a healthier and less debilitating lifestyle regarding the physical aspects—living in countrysides, dabbling in sports, consuming nourishing foods, and so on—all had shaped the ideals that I wanted out of my search for an “alternative” way of being.
Upon my endeavors of how I could make fitness… fit into my life’s routine I eventually discovered MovNat. What had intrigued me the most about Natural Movement was just how non-synthesized and different its approach and methods were to physical activity. Of which, resonated with both my desire to find a program that necessitated function over form and my fear of doing any wrong to my body that could result in an injury, an unattractive physique or the conditioning of my muscles to work in a way that they weren’t meant to.
So, after ultimately being swooned by what MovNat was about and understanding its purpose I pursued its curriculum without any external coaching or training; just a whole lot of reading, watching, and personal feedback. And just as they suggested, and my body’s ability encouraged, l utilized the environment I was in, obtained any materials I could find, and used my imagination to formulate each practice from beginner to advanced. After feeling “the burn”, and the victories and failures my body succumbed itself to, I eventually found what I had been missing.
A few years into exploring virtually all of what moving naturally had to offer up I decided that I wanted to start my own business by becoming a trainer of physical health, wellness, and beyond. Through some preparation and with enough enthusiasm I endured and passed the certification process! And even of the most difficult of challenges that I was able to pass had I come to realize that I was wholly unprepared for the most wearing and deviating of them all: moving alone behind the woods can not be lengthily sustained in the absence of other's ability to show me new and open about inimitable ways of interacting with the world and its inhabitants; profoundly expanding my body’s experience.
My other interests include: learning and teaching, nature, making tea, technology, playing video games, cleaning, automobiles, and the holism of life.
